Hello Everyone! I have some EXCITING NEWS to share with you all! About 2 weeks ago, I was selected to design and paint a HUGE piggy bank for the Annual Ladies Night Out in downtown Sycamore! I was thrilled to be selected for this! This is an annual breast cancer awareness night for women in our area. There are tons of stuff to do, eat, see, and there's a silent auction, witch is where my Rosie will be! For more information, visit Discover Sycamore's web page here!The inspiration for Rosie was the 1950's WWI poster, Rosie the Riveter. I just love the pout-y lips of the 50's painted bright red!
This was such a fun project! And it also showcases my other talents which I hadn't showcased in quiet a while! It will be fun to see how much money Rosie raises as she is part of the silent auction. All proceeds go towards the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Research fund. I am so Proud of my girl Rosie! I hope you enjoy her as much as I do!
